Britt Neech is a ceramic artist based on the Mornington Peninsula, VIC. Her practice is guided by intuition and a deep connection with material, allowing the spontaneous process of arranging shapes and objects in various compositions to inform the outcome of her pieces. She works with texture, negative space, shadow, and light as ways of responding to her experiences, memories, and surrounding environment.
The concepts within her work reference landscapes of identity — linking tenderness with strength, the personal with the expansive. At once intimate and ambiguous, her work invites layered interpretations and create space for contemplation and connection.
